In-game description

The Gut-Puncher fires remote detonating, armor-piercing explosive rounds, initially designed for anti-vehicle warfare in response to the UIR's Booshka. Gut-Puncher rounds will detonate automatically when quick fired, or delay until the trigger is released, allowing Gears to set up well timed ambushes against armored patrols.
