Gears of War: E-Day is out. Early access began on October 1, 2026 for Premium and Collector’s buyers, five days ahead of everyone else, and full release followed on October 6, 2026. Steam’s announcement that day was titled “Gears of War: E-Day is Available Now.”
What happened
Both dates were set at Xbox’s June 7, 2026 show and did not move. The game is on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC and Steam, and Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass include it. The dates, the editions and the open beta that came before launch are on Editions and launch, and every edition is compared in the edition breakdown.
Where to start
- The class builder: pick a class, equipment, three weapons and their mods, then share the result as a link.
- The weapons list: every weapon, with damage and rate of fire, and a dash wherever the number is not published.
- The player count: how many people are playing on Steam, updated live. Xbox and Game Pass publish no figure, and the page says so.
- The Horde Siege map: the Golden Quarter tactical map.
