The Coalition published the full Season 1 plan the day before early access began.

Season 1: Emergence

Season 1 started with early access and runs until December 1, which The Coalition counts as eight weeks. It includes all the launch maps, modes and cosmetics, plus three limited themed events. Later seasons will vary in length, and exact dates come closer to each launch.

The three events

  • Halloween
  • 20 Years of Gears
  • Thanksgibbing

Each event runs for two weeks. Each has a Versus event mode, a Horde Siege event mission and exclusive rewards. The start dates have not been announced yet.

Dates to know

  • October 13: Ranked Versus opens, one week after launch. Weekly challenges refresh the same day.
  • Every Tuesday: the shop rotates its offers.
  • Never Fight Alone Year 5 bundle: 100% of net revenue goes to Crisis Text Line.

Live countdowns to these dates are on Season and Events.

Gears of War: Reloaded rewards

Two rewards for players of Reloaded, the remaster of the first game:

  • Fire and Fenix pose: complete the Prison Breakout achievement in Reloaded.
  • Old Guard medal and the Locked n’ Reloaded title: complete the Re-Up achievement in Reloaded.

Season 2: Legacy

Season 2 is called Legacy and is dedicated to the 20th anniversary, with content themed on the best-known moments of the series. Every E-Day player gets a birthday gift on November 7, the anniversary date.

The Dead Serious reward skin debuts at the start of Season 2. Dead Serious is the achievement that comes back from the old Seriously challenge. It also gives a medal, a player title, a banner, an emblem and an icon, plus the first Legendary character skin in the series. The requirements are on the achievements page.

The Coalition also named the next three seasons: Infiltration, Pendulum and Devotion, and said there will be at least five seasons after launch.
